A Better Finder Rename, In The 64 Bit Realm
Sometimes, I am really amazed by the names some programs can have. For example, Flock. If you never used it, you should give it a try, it's one of the best tools a blogger/social networking freak can get, and they'll surely drop Firefox after having a taste of this one. Anyway, we're not here to talk about Web browsers, because there's something taking up much more time than just browsing with the wrong tool, and that is mass renaming files.
Lisa Simpson Uses an iMac | The Quantum Byte
Well, well. America’s most loved family has gone Mac! In the latest episode of The Simpsons, titled “The Good, The Bad, and The Drugly”, Lisa Simpson is seen in her room, working off a thin all-in-one aluminum computer that is unmistakably an iMac. From an angle it certainly looks like one of the Cinema Displays, but the presence of the slot-loading disk drive and the I/O ports on the back point to it being an aluminum iMac. Also, the mighty mouse can be seen connected to the once again unmistakable thin aluminum Apple keyboard.
WCBS NEWSRADIO 880 - Apple Yanks "Baby Shaker" iPhone Game
SEATTLE (AP) -- Apple Inc. pulled a 99-cent iPhone game called ``Baby Shaker'' from its iTunes store Wednesday after its premise - quiet a crying baby with a vigorous shake - prompted outrage.
According to screen shots posted on several Web sites, ``Baby Shaker'' displayed black-and-white line drawings of a baby. The iTunes description included the line, ``See how long you can endure his or her adorable cries before you just have to find a way to quiet the baby down!'' Once the iPhone owner finishes shaking the device, the on-screen baby is depicted with large red X's over its eyes.
17 Reasons Why Your Mac Runs Slower Than it Should | ChrisWrites dot com
A few years ago Mac was selling Mac Minis with 512MB of RAM. You need at least 1GB. Fortunatly Apple doesn't move enough products for people to whine and complain like they did when PC makers tried to push Vista out the door on systems with only 512MB.
I was going to buy the memory from a Mac store and have them install it but they were trying to charge $150 for a 1GB stick with "free" installation.
It's standard laptop memory and 1GB can be had from NewEgg.com for all of about $20-30. I ended up just busting out the putty knife and doing it myself.
Apple reports blockbuster earnings with iPhone growth increasing
I find it funny how all the haters are digging down all the "told you so" type of comments.
These people are so quick to accuse Mac users of being smug, but its the haters who breed that smugness amongst their advisories as it was they who predicted the inevitable death of the company, the inevitable failure that the iMac would be, the lack of adoption that the iPod would have and more recently the failure that would be Apple's iPhone.
Apple approves 'Baby Shaker' for App Store | Apple - CNET News
Yes, twisted and in bad taste, but so what? What's wrong with people today? Everyone has to be outraged at anything even a little off center. Come on people, its a joke. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
Gizmodo - Can the iPod Shuffle Be Swallowed? - iPod Shuffle
My cousin was shaken by a nanny when she was less than a year old, and suffers permanent brain damage. To her parents, siblings, and the rest of her family, it has been one of the most difficult processes to get through and understand. I usually have a pretty good sense of humor, but this is despicable.
